What is the valU application, how does it work?

According to the introduction of EFG-Hermes, valU is a Business app on the Android platform. There is currently a 5.2.2 version released on Dec 17, 2019, you can see the details below.

valU is an app that you install on your phone to shop INSIDE more than 1000 stores in Cairo, Alexandria, Giza and Hurghada – in addition to an ever-growing list of online stores in Egypt. All you have to do is download the app, sign up, APPLY now and visit one of our booths to activate your account. Once activated, you have the option to purchase anything from phones, fashion, eyewear, furniture or even solar panels over 3-36 months using Egypt’s best rates. Powered by EFG Hermes, valU is the only Fintech platform of its kind in Egypt; bringing a new way to check out and pay as you can afford on a monthly basis.
To view which stores you can visit to start shopping using valU, please check the “Browse” function inside the app
One inside the store, use the “Buy” function to add the product you want to buy, add the price and then select repayment plan that suits you, whether 3 months and up to 36 months.
