What is the Practice Unite ® application, how does it work?

Practice Unite® is the secure, HIPAA-compliant mobile application that is customized to the needs of your healthcare system.

This application will help you:

•Send PHI securely to colleagues
•Collaborate with care team members more easily
•Find and communicate with colleagues by secure text or by phone
•Receive clinical data where and when you need

By downloading this application many of the following features will be available to you depending on what your healthcare organization has selected:

Secure Messaging: Search for colleagues by name, specialty and location. Send encrypted texts to one or more users or groups. Coordinate care using patient-centered care team messaging. Includes receipt confirmation

Secure Photo: Save and share encrypted images

Voice Calling: Call your colleagues directly through Practice Unite by cell, office number or VOIP if provided by your organization

Consults: Deliver consults directly from the patient’s EHR to physicians’ mobile devices

Clinical Alerts: Receive critical/abnormal lab results and other important clinical information directly from your EMR or other clinical systems

Patient List: Securely create and share patient notes among physicians, nurses and other clinicians

On-Call List: Identify and communicate with the “On-Call” physician, or team, quickly from any mobile device

Procedures: Schedule procedures and have results delivered to ordering physician’s mobile device

Hospital System Directory: Access an up-to-date system-wide directory of phone numbers searchable by employee name or phone location

Search: Make it easier to find physicians based on name, specialty, areas of practice, insurance participation, location, etc.
